Winter Beauty Hacks

Winter is here, but we’re keeping dry lips and skin at bay with these beauty hacks that will keep you hydrated and glowing all season. With serum infused foundations, lifesaving lip scrubs and hydrating facial masks, we’ve got your skincare and make-up regime sorted. So, listen up and take notes!

Your skin is THE most important base of all, taking care of and prepping your skin is your priority before any foundation goes near it. Just think, you wouldn’t paint the walls of a house without sanding them and priming them first. Your skin is the foundation to a stronger and longer wearing make-up look. To maximise your moisture intake and ensure your make-up lasts from AM to PM, you should always cleanse and moisturise the skin morning and night, of course being sure to remove any and all make-up applied that day.

We recommend using the Argan Oil Cleansing tissues, for a no-fuss cleanse that won’t strip your skin, plus it’s dermatologist tested. To hydrate your skin, you’ll need the Awakiin Rose Facial Sheet mask. For all skin types, and infused with rose flower extract, this gel mask soothes and rejuvenates your skin, and has a super fresh scent.

To take off your make-up, the Beauty Treats Charcoal Make-up Remover Cleansing Tissues will be your best friend. Infused with charcoal powder, vitamin E to nourish while cleansing, and extracts of olive, lemon, sugar maple, bamboo and orange, your skin will be singing.

Be sure to fit in a once-a-week face mask with our just-in, Perfect Pink Clay Mask. This heavenly (and PINK!) formula detoxifies, brightens and hydrates dull and sad skin – perfect for that sudden change in season and drop in temp!

To top off your regime, don’t forget to scrub your lips with Beauty Treats Sugar Lip Scrub, and re-hydrate with Beauty Lips Care Avocado Oil Balm – pucker up!

Now that your skin feels and looks a million bucks, let’s get down to business. You’ve heard it all before from Napoleon Perdis, it’s a crime not to prime! To keep that skin hydrated and that makeup in place, the Auto Pilot Brightening Skin Primer is a saving grace. Pair it with the Personal Trainer Serum Foundation, which delivers ionized water and skin boosting ions. Conceal with the LA Girl Pro Concealers (just search them on YouTube and you’ll know what the fuss is about) – plus these babies are just $11.99 a pop.

For brows, we can’t go past the sharpener-free and antioxidant filled Napoleon Eye Brow Pencils. Winter eye looks should be light and airy, so opt for softer shades of beige, like the Loose Eye Dust Star Light in Metallic Nude. Define the lash line with the Brown Sugar Eye Pencil, and add drama, curl and length to the lashes with the Mesmer Eyes Mascara.

Define the face and your favourite features with the Ultimate Contour Palette, swirling the bronzer along the outer parameters of the face, adding a dash of glow and blush to the apples of the cheeks. For a nourishing lip, you’ll fall in love with the Double Duty Infusion Lip Oil as a treating gloss that protects and hydrates. If you’re more of a longer wearing gal, you can’t go past the winter berry tones in the Calypso Devine Goddess Lipstick, or the super long wearing pigment in LA Girl Matte Flat Lipstick in Spicy.

Last, but definitely not least – faux tan. Just because it’s dropped 10 degrees, doesn’t mean your tan has to budge. Keep that summer glow through winter with Australian brand, Loving Tan. Achieve that professional glow at home with the Deluxe Bronzing Mousse and the Deluxe Applicator Mitt (no orange hands here). Before heading out, deepen that tan by applying the Loving Tan Bronze Shimmer to your body – it dries fast in under a minute, meaning you can apply just before you head out and enhance that tan ever more!

It’s official, you’re now in the glow. Shop our HUGE range of skin and beauty products here and achieve that hydrated luminous glow all winter long.
